Wedding alcohol case sizes and rounding guide
The calculator rounds bottles, but suppliers may require cases, minimums, or sale-or-return terms.
How supplier case sizes, return rules, and rounded bottle counts affect the final wedding alcohol order.
Bottle counts are not always order counts
The calculator returns practical bottle and can counts, but suppliers may sell by case, keg, crate, or mixed case. Convert the result into supplier order units before buying.
- Check wine case size before rounding the final order.
- Check beer pack size, keg size, or can count.
- Ask whether unopened cases or bottles can be returned.
Return rules change the buffer
A generous buffer is easier to justify when unopened returns are allowed. If returns are not allowed, tighten the order and make sure water and alcohol-free options are still well planned.
- Write down return deadlines and conditions.
- Keep receipts and unopened cases together.
- Confirm who takes leftover alcohol after the event.
Supplier rounding checks
| Item | Calculator gives | Supplier may require |
|---|---|---|
| Wine | Bottle count | Cases of 6 or 12. |
| Beer | Bottles or cans | Packs, crates, or kegs. |
| Spirits | 750 ml bottles | Brand-specific bottle sizes. |
Follow local alcohol laws and venue rules. Do not use this to encourage overconsumption.
